New version of the privacy notice for MitID

On April 17, 2024, changes will be made to the privacy policy for MitID.

When you are registered as a user in MitID, you are also presented with the privacy notice for MitID. Here, you can, for example, read about how your personal data is processed, which information is involved, where it comes from, how it is stored, and who has access to it.

There have been a few clarifying changes in the privacy notice which you can see below.

Description of the specific changes

Changes in the privacy notice version 1.4 compared to version 1.5:

  • Chapter 2: The Ministry of Finance has been changed to the Ministry of Digital Government and Gender Equality due to a reorganization, whereby the Agency for Digital Government now falls under the Ministry of Digital Government and Gender Equality.
  • Chapter 3: Update of legal basis, as the law on MitID and NemLog-in was amended in December 2023, with effect from January 1, 2024.
  • Chapter 5: Added the Danish Business Authority as a data processor (regarding support cases).
  • Chapter 6: Added the Faroe Islands regarding the transfer to third countries, as the Danish Representation on the Faroe Islands can now issue MitID.
  • Chapter 9: Added a section about Support's processing of user calls for analysis purposes, etc.
