If you have a MitID app you can log on to MitID.dk and create a new password on your Profile page. Be aware that you must wait 24 hours (security reasons) before you can edit your information on MitID.dk.
Go to a Citizen Service Centre and get an activation code to activate a new password.
Be aware that you must identify yourself at the Citizen Service Centre to get the activation code. And don´t forget to book an appointment and bring valid documentation.
If you forgot your password or your password has been blocked, MitID Support can help you get a new password.
First, you must identify yourself on the phone. To do so, you must inform us your drivers license number or passport number (valid danish/greenlandic drivers license or passort) and then answer some questions based on your information in the danish CPR register.
Now you get a SMS with an activation code. Follow the guide in the SMS to create your new password.
If you can't answer enough questions about yourself, MitID Support can't send you the SMS with the activation code and you must get help from a Citizen Service Centre to create a new password.
If your mobile phone number within the last 5 days has been registered or changed on your MitID profile, MitID Support can't send you the SMS with the activation code and you must get help from a Citizen Service Centre to create a new password.

Be aware that you can only get the temporary activation code by calling MitID Support. The reason is that you need to identify yourself to support by answering some questoins.
It is important that you create a strong password that is easy for you to remember, but difficult for others to guess. Your password is private - so never share your password with anyone.
