Issues with the MitID app for citizens abroad

Some citizens abroad are currently experiencing errors in the MitID app, where the message “An error has occurred” is displayed.

Some citizens abroad are currently experiencing issues with the MitID app, where the message “An error has occurred” is displayed.

We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

You can use a temporary workaround. See how below.

Instructions by phone model

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Tap General.

  3. Select Date & Time.

  4. Turn off Set Automatically, then tap Time Zone to search for a specific city.

  5. Select Copenhagen.

  6. Try using your app again. The issue should now be resolved.

  1. Open the Clock app.

  2. Tap More (the three dots).

  3. Select Settings.

  4. Tap “Home time zone” to choose a new one.

  5. Select Copenhagen.

  6. Try using your app again. The issue should now be resolved.

  1. Select Start.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Select Time & language.

  4. Tap Date & time.

  5. Turn off Set time zone automatically.

  6. Select the Copenhagen time zone.

  7. Try using your app again. The issue should now be resolved.
