Step 3 - Scan passport code, read chip and scan face
Step 4 - Create user ID
Step 5 - Activate or order MitID

Before you begin, you need to know what you're allowed to help with. That's because MitID is strictly personal. 

  • You can't get MitID on someone else's behalf - but you're welcome to help along the way
  • You may not use MitID afterwards on someone else's behalf

In practice, this means that: 

  • The person you help to get MitID must be physically with you when you help him or her
  • The person you are helping is the only one who must know and enter the user ID and personal PIN code. In the guide below, you can see when to look away during the creation of the other person's MitID
