Activate app with activation code

When you have downloaded the MitID app to your phone or tablet, you can activate the app with an activation code obtained from Borgerservice.

  1. Open your MitID app.
  2. Press Get started on the 'Activate your MitID' screen.
  3. Choose Activation code from Borgerservice and press Next.
  4. Enter your user ID and activation code, then press Next.
  5. Enter a temporary PIN code you receive via SMS.
  6. Enter a personal PIN code and press Next. Repeat and press Next.
  7. Choose whether you want to approve with biometrics (fingerprint or face recognition).
  8. Choose whether you want to accept notifications from the MitID app.
  9. Your MitID app is now activated and ready to use. Press OK.

If you do not have an activaion code 

If you do not have an activation code, you can either obtain one at Borgerservice or activate your MitID app by either scanning your passport in the MitID app or, if you already have a MitID app, copying it to a new phone/tablet. Learn more about the various options.
