Download MitID app

1. Open Apple App Store or Google Play
2. Search for “MitID”
3. Choose MitID app from Digitaliseringsstyrelsen
4. Press Download
5. Wait for the MitID app to dowload on your devide
6. Press Open to open MitID app

Next step - activate the app

To activate the MitID app you need to confirm your identity. You can do this in two ways:

• Activate MitID app with activation code
  Enter the activation code in the MitID app, together with your user ID. You get the activation code with your NemID, MitID, at a Cititzen Service Centre or with a borrowed phone with your passport, if your own phone can't scan your passport.
• Activate MitID app with passport
  You can confirm your identity directly in the MitID app by scanning your passport and your face (to compare with your passport picture).
