Passport/ID card requirements for MitID app
You can use your passport or international ID card in the MitID app to get MitID, or to activate MitID app on a new phone or tablet.
Your passport must be from
- A UN member state - see the list of the UN member states
Be sure, that your passport/ID card has a chip
To get MitID with a foreign passport/ID card it requires that the passport/ID card is equipped with a chip. Your passort/ID card must have this symbol on the front.
The symbol indicates that your passport/ID card contains a hidden chip that can be scanned by the MitID app - to confirm your identity.
Your passport/ID card must be valid
Verify, that your passport/ID card hasn't expired.
If you don't have a passport/ID card that fulfills the requirements?
If you don't have a passport/ID card that fulfills the above listed requirements, you cannot use MitID app to get MitID or activate MitID app.
