Activate your MitID chip with an activation code

You can activate your MitID chip with an activation code. You can get an activation code at Citizen Service or through passport scanning in the MitID app.

You can get an activation code for your MitID chip at Citizen Service. You must bring valid documentation to get an activation code. You need to book an appointment at Citizen Service, before you show.

If you have a MitID app, you can get an activation code to activate your MitID chip by scanning your passport in the MitID app.
Follow the instructions to Get MitID with passport. In the last step, after selecting 'Code display, audio code reader or chip', you will be provided with an activation code.
