Security advice

The MitID solution has been developed with a strong focus on security at all levels. The technical design and the thorough security procedures make the MitID solution as safe and secure as it currently can be. The Danish Agency for Digitisation will consistently test MitID’s security to keep it safe and secure in the future as well.

However, you are responsible for keeping your personal MitID secure all the time. The next section will offer you some simple advice on how to keep your MitID safe and secure.

Your MitID is yours and only yours

Do NOT share your MitID or your MitID information with others. Your user ID and your password are private, and, as long as they stay that way, your MitID identity is secure.
