For security reasons you must wait 24 hours from you log on to MitID.dk till you can edit your profile informations.

How to:

  1. Log on MitID.dk
  2. Click View under Authenticator on the Profile page
  3. Click Add in the box "Add Authenticator"
  4. Click Request access
  5. Click Log out

Wait 24 hours - you'll get a message when you have access to edit

  1. Log on MitID.dk again after the 24 hours
  2. Click View under Authenticator on the Profile page
  3. Click Add in the box "Add Authenticator"
  4. Click on Select under 'MitID chip'
  5. Click on Yes on the page 'Do you have this MitID authenticator?'
  6. Write a new password and repeat the new password
  7. Click on Continue

The technical explanation

When you add a new MitID chip, a security element is created in your MitID chip, and a corresponding element is also created in the MitID solution. If your MitID chip becomes permanently blocked, the security element in the MitID solution is deleted. When the same MitID chip is added back to your MitID profile, a new pair of security elements is generated, allowing the physical MitID chip to be reused.
