1. Choose On this phone
2. Enter the temporary PIN code, which will now be sent by SMS
3. Look away while the person you are helping selects and enters his or her own personal PIN code twice. It is important to remember the code, as it must be used every time the person you are helping needs to approve something with the MitID app. The person you are helping can also choose to use fingerprints or facial recognition
4. Accept notifications to receive important messages about MitID
5. Look away while the user ID is being displayed in the app on the last step
6. Press Next - and you're done

Tip: Copy the PIN code into the app 
On some phones, you just tap the grey box to have the code from the SMS automatically entered - or you can see it on a banner that appears at the top for a few seconds. Finally, there are phones where you have to go to your messaging app to see the SMS and back again in the MitID app to enter the code.

Select Other options if the person you are helping e.g. wants a MitID code display or wants to activate a MitID app on an additional phone or tablet that cannot scan the passport. 

If you want to order e.g. a MitID code display

1. Tap Select code display on the 'What do you want to order/activate?' screen
2. On the next screen, you are now asked if the person already has a code display. Press No, order code display
3. You should only press Yes, activate code display when the person you are helping has received their code display in the post and needs to activate it
4. Press the Order on MitID.dk button on the 'Order MitID code display' screen. Note that you will now be taken to the MitID.dk website to complete the order
5. Follow the steps on MitID.dk to order the MitID code display
6. Activate the MitID code display when the person you are helping receives it in the post. The letter provided will tell you how to do this

If you want to activate a MitID app on another phone/tablet
You can use this option if the person you are helping already has a MitID but would like to have a spare MitID, e.g. on a spare phone or tablet that cannot scan passports. Read more about having a spare MitID. 

1. Tap Select app on the 'What do you want to activate/order?' screen
2. Tap Get an activation code on the 'Activate MitID app on another phone/tablet' screen
3. Look away while the person you are helping is shown his or her user ID and an activation code. MitID is strictly personal
4. Take out the other phone/tablet on which you want to activate the MitID app
5. Download the MitID app to the other phone/tablet
6. Now follow the instructions Activate MitID app with activation code
